A Winnable Race

The 25th Legislative District is trending Democratic faster than any other in the state.

In 2017, Dr. Bhimani came within four points of unseating 10-term Republican incumbent Senator Anthony Bucco, Sr. A year later, Democrats Mikie Sherrill and Tom Malinowski together won LD25 by more than 10,000 votes, flipping two Congressional seats from red to blue.

We know 2019 presents a unique opportunity to build on the unprecedented grassroots momentum in Morris and Somerset Counties and finally flip LD25.

I couldn’t be more excited to support Darcy Drager and Lisa Bhimani for Assembly!

Darcy worked tirelessly on behalf of our campaign as our Morris County Chairwoman. In six months, she and a committed group of activists turned sleepy, red Western Morris County into an area that overperformed for me and Democrats up and down the ticket. Darcy Drager is a huge reason why NJ07 is blue for the first time in nearly half a century. I’m sure Mikie would say the same of Lisa’s work in the 11th district.

Now it’s time to put the organization Darcy and Lisa built to work for them, and you can count on me to hit those doors in Western Morris. Let’s treat what we accomplished together in 2018 as an opening act, and keep this momentum going! We’re going to send two more incredible women to the Assembly in 2019!

I couldn’t be more proud to call them my friends, my allies, and next year, if we do our jobs, my colleagues.

I fully support Lisa Bhimani and Darcy Draeger for the assembly in District 25.

Lisa and Darcy will bring about change and bipartisan leadership that District 25 has been missing for so many years. They have my full support in what I believe will be a successful campaign for legislature.
